ELECTRONIC ROOM ACOUSTICS

The electronic room acoustic system developed by Müller-BBM Acoustic Solutions GmbH is available in two versions:  Vivace and Vicello.

SONIC DESIGN Inc. is the Turkey representative and solution partner for the systems.

3-DIMENSIONAL SOUND

3D Sound technology fascinates the audience by creating a natural acoustic environment in which the sound objects move.

In order to create true 3D impressions, it is not sufficient to move the sound objects in the horizontal plane. The dimensioning of a complete acoustic space around the audience and the genuine localization are the other features that the system provides.

VOICE LIFT

The system can locate and selectively reinforce a particular voice anywhere in the hall. We call this feature “voice lift”. That particular voice can be the voice of a speaking or singing person or the sound of an instrument. Nobody needs a microphone anymore!

Speakers or audience can talk and communicate without a microphone and can be heard clearly throughout the hall. Voice lift allows artists and speakers to perform freely without wearing a headset or standing in front of a fixed microphone.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

Since the sound is so natural, the audience does not perceive the operation of the system. What the audience experiences, is a true sound and a natural acoustic ambience.

Each loudspeaker contributes a small share to the total sound so that the sound of any single loudspeaker cannot be heard even by the audience sitting close to it. The sound energy of all loudspeakers is superimposed and blended in the room sound homogeneously to create acoustic ambiances that sound truly natural.

It is possible to change the acoustic character of a hall immediately just by selecting one of the presets. It means a multitude of venues in one venue…

  • Acoustic optimization of concert halls
  • Providing a wide range of flexibility for the multi-purpose halls hosting various events
  • Creating tonal flexibility for opera houses
  • Creating an indoor venue acoustics for open air music activities
  • High speech intelligibility and clarity for plays, conferences and so on
  • Preset acoustic profiles (acoustic of specific spaces including acoustically famous venues)
  • Use as a production tool (e.g. switching acoustics with the stage sets for different acts)

HARDWARE FLEXIBILITY

You are not bound to a specific brand of electroacoustic components. The Vivace and Vicello systems can be optimized to operate perfectly with components of various manufacturers.

It is essential to use high-quality electroacoustic components in order to produce truly natural sound. However, the user is not limited to work with a specific brand. Components such as microphones, converters, amplifiers and loudspeakers are specified subject to the respective project.

PLANNING AND INSTALLATION

Planning is undertaken by the experts of Müller BBM ASO and locally supported and coordinated by  SONIC DESIGN.

Following the calibration, room acoustic presets are literally under your hands by means of mobile devices. In order to set the perfect acoustic, all you need is to touch the screen of a tablet or of a smart phone running the control application.

The cooperation of SONIC DESIGN and Müller BBM ASO makes the electronic room acoustic systems Vivace and Vicello available and applicable for projects of any size in Turkey.

Vivace and Vicello offer high flexibility in terms of project size and electroacoustic hardware variety. Provided that the components have sufficient quality, Vivace or Vicello can be integrated into the existing sound systems with the addition of a minimum required system setup.
